Become a Garden Volunteer!
One way to become more involved in the garden and community is to volunteer. Through spring and fall plantings, regular maintenance and small work projects and community harvesting, the garden has become central to our part of the neighborhood.
Garden volunteers often find that the time they spend with us not only gives them the chance to take part in productive work outdoors, but also connects them with neighbors & children here.
Throughout the spring, summer and fall, we plan periodic garden work days to knock out small-scale but important projects. This includes planting flowers, trimming shrubs, building planter boxes, painting, spreading mulch, weeding beds, clearing brush and picking up trash.
If you or a group you’re affiliated with would like to join us, please click below (or email us at swcausby@gmail.com) and ask to be added to our volunteer email list. We’ll contact you about upcoming garden events and work days. Children are always welcome and we usually have access to most tools that are needed.
